I am extremely worry about the link between overhead cables and health problems. Cables emit EMFs which can, and do, cause cancer. There is a huge amount of scientific research into the health effects of pylons, and there are quite different views, a bit like the research into tobacco in the 1950’s and 60’s. There are serious concerns, and conflicting views, about the health impacts on people and farm animals.  Better to be safe than sorry and not use pylons.
Wales is unique in having a Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, and while NGET are not bound by this law, Isle of Anglesey County Council is, and more pylons may leave the authority open to legal challenge.  Pylons are a poor legacy for future generations.
Other technology exists, like underground and subsea, which does not have the negative effects of pylons. Either of these are far more acceptable to the people of Anglesey
