“The scientific research into the health effects of pylons is inconclusive a bit like the research into tobacco in the 1950’s and 60’s. There are, therefore, conflicting views, about the health impacts on people and farm animals.  It is better to be cautious until solid proof is available. The use of pylons should be shelved in favour of more up to date technology as it has been in other countries. Overhead cables should not be permitted close to areas inhabited by people.
