“I am concerned that the huge number of new pylons will be detrimental to the island’s tourism by creating an industrial landscape across areas of natural beauty. We are already subject to a number of power cuts in Cemaes, often due to overhead problems with pylons and weather issues. It would be a real investment if ALL the power cables could be put underground. Although expensive, this would eventually be re-couped through the charges. Maintenance would be much easier.
Anglesey relies on tourism as a major financial income and it needs to have the investment in the future to maintain this element. ”
