What happens next
The Preliminary Meeting took place on Tuesday 21 January 2020. We will shortly be issuing a notification (Rule 8 letter) to Interested Parties which sets the timetable for the Examination including, amongst other things, deadlines for receipt of detailed Written Representations, Local Impact Reports, comments on the Relevant Representations made by other Interested Parties and dates for any hearings. The notification will also be published on this project page and available on request from [email protected] and our helpline: 0303 444 5000.
If you have a legal interest in land affected by a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project and:
- have not been identified by the Applicant; and
- did not register to become an Interested Party;
then you can make a request to the Examining Authority to become an Interested Party under s102A of the Planning Act 2008.

The following documents have been published in advance of the Preliminary Meeting : Applicant’s responses to the post-acceptance s51 advice and the Applicants document providing details of changes to be requested to the Application.
The agenda for the Issue Specific Hearing on 21 January 2020 has been published.
The Examining Authority carried out Unaccompanied Site Inspections on the 27th and 28th of November. A note of the inspection has been published and added to the examination library.

The letter also includes the draft Examination Timetable and Initial Assessment of Principal Issues.
