East Anglia ONE North Offshore Windfarm
Received 16 January 2020
From Maryanne Nicholls
“I oppose this scheme on various levels.. I truly believe that an infrastructure project of this significance should not be done on the cheap.. and that an offshore ring main is the correct way forward. The A1094 simply isn't up to carrying the amount of construction traffic to build this project. It is already a dangerous road, lethal for cyclists, and in places there is not enough space for large lorries to pass one another. The road floods frequently - when there is heavy rain the water runs off the fields and collects in the dips making it impassable. It is an important tourist route - and the junction from the A12 onto the A1094 is already congested and dangerous. If it goes ahead, this project will totally alter the nature of this important cultural seaside town.”
