I OBJECT to the current plans to build West Burton C Power Plant (a gas-fired peaking plant) adjacent to the existing power stations in West Burton, Nottinghamshire. I strongly believe if this development is approved it will have an adverse impact on the local community: this structure will further spoil the landscape character of the surrounding countryside, generate more traffic during the construction stages and ongoing maintenance, as well as reduce the quality of air, once commissioned.
