Applicant’s application for Additional Land only. As this new proposed application is adjacent to the land previously identified as temporarily acquired for use as the contractor's Main Compound I have to say again that it is separated from the Works by the existing A303. ALL traffic entering the Compound from East and West will cause disruption to the natural flow of the A303 traffic on it's narrowest part within the Sparkford to Podimore section. Having entered the Compound, personnel, plant, material movements will ALL have to cross the A303, this will no doubt have to be controlled by a traffic light and Traffic Marshall arrangement or are Highways England bizarrely planning to erect a Bailey bridge (RNAS Yeovilton will say NO). The Compound must be on the North side of the Existing A303 with immediate access to the Works..
