If you have a legal interest in land affected by a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project and:

  • have not been identified by the Applicant; and
  • did not register to become an Interested Party

you can make a request to the Examining Authority to become an Interested Party under s102A of the Planning Act 2008.

The Livestream of the Hearings is available for those wishing to observe in real time. Please note that the hearing will start broadcasting LIVE once it opens. If the Livestream doesn’t initially work, it may be resolved by refreshing the page.

The agendas for Issue Specific Hearing 1 (PDF. 104KB) (draft Development Consent Order) and Issue Specific Hearing 2 (PDF, 128KB) (Environmental Matters) have been published.

Joining instructions will be issued to attendees and a link to the live stream of the hearings will be published on the project page in advance of the hearings.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Accompanied Site Inspection (ASI) will not take place on Wednesday 17 November 2021. The case team apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The ASI will now take place during the week of 28 February 2022. Further information and an updated itinerary will be published closer to the time.

The Examining Authority’s Notification of Hearings and an Accompanied Site Inspection (ASI) (PDF, 544KB) during November 2021 has been published. The final itinerary for the ASI is included in the letter.

Parties are requested to inform the case team of their attendance by the dates specified in the Notification.

The Examining Authority (ExA) did not receive any requests to be heard at a Compulsory Acquisition Hearing by the specified deadline. Therefore the time reserved for a Compulsory Acquisition Hearing on 26 November 2021 has been cancelled as it is not required.
