Norfolk Vanguard

As a regular visitor to Necton, I have been very much aware of the visual impact of the substation close to Necton village. I’ve seen the recent publicity concerning two additional, much larger substations for the Vanguard and Boreas wind farms that are planned to be sited close to the current substation. In my opinion, the extent of these substations will have a significant negative impact on my (and many people’s) enjoyment of the rural nature of the village and it’s surroundings.

I believe there is an alternative position for these larger substations which would have much less of an impact on its surroundings. I strongly believe the substations should not be sited close to Necton when a more appropriate site is available.
