A letter regarding the proposed Scout Moor extension and its proximity to a National Bridleway - The Mary Towneley Loop section of the Pennine Bridleway.

Advice given

I understand that your letter is in relation to the proposed Scout Moor Wind Farm expansion, comprising the erection of additional wind turbines and associated infrastructure on land within and immediately north of the operational Scout Moor Wind Farm. The Scout Moor Wind Farm expansion project is currently in the pre-application stage of the process and therefore it has not yet been formally submitted to the Planning Inspectorate.
We appreciate being informed about issues in relation to nationally significant infrastructure projects, but due to the status of the application, the Planning Inspectorate can only accept this letter for information purposes. We will however keep your letter on file for future reference. Until an application is formally submitted, the applicant should be the first point of contact for any comments you have on the proposal. I would therefore encourage you to continue the approach which you have already undertaken, to make any comments to the applicant.
Once the application has been formally submitted to the Planning Inspectorate and if it is accepted for examination, you will have the opportunity to register as an interested party and as a result take part in the examination.
I have attached advice note 8.1 ? ?How the process works? and 8.2 ? ?Responding to the developer?s pre-application consultation? for your information.
